How many guests can you accommodate at each event?

There is no limit to the number of guests we can host during our events. Typical events range from 20-50 people but the only limit is your imagination. Our biggest event had 180 attendees, our smallest, just 2.

Do we need special technology to attend?

Our events are hosted on Zoom. If you’d prefer to use your own Zoom account or Microsoft Teams/Google Hangouts or any other tool, we’d be happy to accommodate.

Where can you ship whiskey?

The United States & Europe have complex alcohol laws that dictate shipping and delivery on a state and country basis. We can ship to most places but check with us to make sure your guests’ place of residence allows deliveries.

 

What if my guests don't like whiskey?

For many of our guests it’s their first time sampling whiskey. We are happy to explore alternative packages to guests who don’t like whiskey or who don’t partake in alcohol.

How far in advance do events need to be booked?

We typically advise four weeks from the time we confirm an event until the event takes place. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can hold a date for you. We ask that you send final names and addresses no later than 14 days before the event to ensure sufficient time for delivery.

How long do events last?

We recommend budgeting 90 minutes with 60 minutes for the main program and the remainder of the time available for an extended Q&A session. There are times (more often than not) when guests want to stay, hang out and chat. That’s often when the deepest relationships are built so we don’t want to send anyone away too early!

 

Who hosts the events?

We only have one host and one host only and that’s Barry Chandler, Icon of Whisky Award Winning founder of Stories & Sips Whiskey Club, one of the largest Irish whiskey clubs and communities in the world. When Barry’s schedule is full, we don’t use other hosts, so we always advise to book as soon as you know you’d like to run an event and we’ll get you on the calendar.

What are your payment terms?

Each event has two costs – the event fee which is a fixed fee that covers securing Barry to host, any design of landing pages, creation of promotional videos and the design of any graphics to brand your pub experience. You can have an unlimited number of people attend the event included in the event fee. The second cost is the whiskey cost which will depend on how many whiskey kits you’d like us to ship. 100% of the event fee is due at the time of booking to hold the event date and can paid online. The final balance will be invoiced prior to us shipping whiskey kits once final numbers are known.
